Nick Kremm on the red carpet

When young people speak up, it means that something has been activated—a spark of hope for the future of the industry, especially one as traditionally closed-off as the world of mass media and cinema. Greek actor, director, producer, and entrepreneur Nick Kremm, based in Spain, has a strong perspective on this topic.

Nick Kremm is a young man who began his career in Spain. Long before he ventured into cinema, he was living in Athens, Greece, with his family. They were a middle-class family residing in the suburbs of Athens, and like many kids, Nick dreamed of one day making a name for himself in the film industry.

Kremm showed an interest in creating audiovisual projects as early as age 10 or 11 (as he mentioned in an IMDb interview in 2022). However, his dream seemed improbable due to their financial situation, until his family relocated to Seville, Spain, in 2019. After the move, Nick expanded his focus to include various forms of art: painting, music, and video production.

"I could only find an escape door inside art when I was totally alone in Spain. Nobody wanted me, I was the weird guy in class and always had to try to fit in, in order to feel good about myself. Until at some point I realised that I had to ignore everyone and focus on something that could create me a promising future".

Nick Kremm recently opened up in a press interview about his experiences. Between 2022 and 2024, he attended four different schools, a period he describes as one that "could make anyone insecure and feel stuck in different realities."

Despite the challenges of adapting to new environments and struggling to connect with people, Kremm found this time to be pivotal for personal growth. He chose to focus on skills and activities that he believed would benefit his future. Very notable as an example is the drawings he was making when he was alone and were finally exposed in the 2nd school he moved to, recognising his work as a kid. He also started playing the violing since he was just 6 and at 12 he gave it up to change to saxophone, where later on he had the opportunity to join the AS Revy band when he lived in Norway for one year.

Kremm’s career gained momentum with the premiere of his first popular film, La Mascara de Janus, in 2023 at Avenida 5 Cines in Seville, during the inaugural edition of the Akida International Film Festival. The film marked his breakthrough in the local industry, propelling him into a series of high-profile projects. Soon after, he worked on diverse productions, including the music video for influencer Ruben Aviles' viral hit EL PECAO. Later that year, he starred in Power Bank, which had its premiere at the Bergen International Film Festival. His rapid ascent is remarkable: since 2022, Kremm has contributed to more than 45 national and international productions, yet he remains focused on a topic he frequently highlights—his age.

Born in 2006, Kremm’s youth is striking given his achievements. He has already garnered international recognition, mingled with celebrities, and earned the trust of major industry players and organizations. Despite his success, Kremm’s defining trait is his resilience and unshakeable spirit.

Kremm’s story is compelling because he exemplifies a lesson he often shares in interviews: age and external limitations shouldn’t deter anyone from pursuing their dreams if they are willing to embrace the process. His growing fanbase resonates with this message, admiring not just his talent but the authenticity he brings to the table. Despite experiencing social rejection from peers in his earlier years, Kremm remains committed to advocating for youth empowerment, emphasizing the importance of inclusivity and support.

He is dedicated to fostering a healthy environment for young people, one where everyone can nurture their ambitions and turn dreams into reality. Despite his past struggles, Kremm has found happiness in his personal life. He is currently in a relationship with Neveen Hisham, an Alexandria-born woman. Their first public appearance as a couple was at the award ceremony of the 2nd Akida International Film Festival. Kremm's recent appearance at the Ibero-American Film Festival of Huelva, where he attended the premiere of Senegal: A Dream of a Round Trip, directed by Marcos Gualda and starring flamenco singer Rocio Marquez, further showcased his commitment to intercultural projects, as he has also mentioned in the event there.
