Today, 19-year-old filmmaker and creative force Nick Kremm officially announced that his application has been accepted by Guinness World Records. He’s hoping to secure the title of Youngest Film Director — a milestone that would cement his place in cinema history.

Born in Athens in 2006 as Nikolaos Kremmydas, Nick has been passionate about film since his early teens. After moving to Seville in 2019, he started making short films like Bored in X-Mas and The Sound of Silence, quickly gaining experience and recognition. His first major project, The Mask of Janus, kicked off in 2022 and marked a turning point in his career.

Since then, Nick has studied media and television in Bergen, Norway, and thrown himself into the European film scene. He’s also the co-founder of the Seville International Short Film Festival in Seville — a growing platform for young, independent filmmakers across Europe.

Nick’s Guinness is backed by a solid portfolio of films — including Silence, Destiny, and The Brute in the Mirror — as well as all the documentation Guinness needs: proof of age, production materials, and confirmation that his films were actually released.

“I’m not in this just for the record,” Nick says.

“I want to show people, especially young people, that they can tell their stories and make their vision happen, no matter how old they are.”
